Francie Lucas of Medtronic was onsite in early February to inservice nursing staff on the use of the new defibrillators. Lucas said the healthcare industry is generally moving to biphasic rather than the monophasic defibrillator technology.<br \/>\n\u201cStudies have shown that the biphasic defibrillator technology can save more lives by improving patient outcomes.
