Blair Senior Services, Inc. will host the thirteenth annual SeniorFest on Friday, August 3, at Lakemont Park from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.
\nSeniorFest \\’07 will feature a traditional hamburger and hotdog picnic, games, prizes, musical selections by Dan and Galla, dancing to music by Rich Hagens and bingo.
\nAn assortment of cold drinks will be available in the serving area throughout the day. The event will be held in the park\u2019s picnic pavilions, at the lower end of the park, near the train ride. The paths around the pavilions are paved.
\nDon\u2019t miss this chance to celebrate the accomplishments of older individuals, and to enjoy the fellowship of other older Blair County residents.
\nParking is available in the parking garage that is located between the park\u2019s entrance and Blair County Ball Park. Shuttles will be available to take guests from the parking area to the picnic pavilions. Van transportation will also be offered for those 60 years of age or over.
\nTickets cost $2.50 for Blair County residents 60 years of age or older, and can be obtained at any Senior Center or at the Agency at 1320 Twelfth Avenue in Altoona. Tickets must be purchased by Friday, July 27.
\nPennsylvania Department of Aging requirements make it necessary for you to answer several nutritional health questions and provide information regarding your age, race, ethnicity and municipality when you purchase your ticket.
