David L. Little, 59, of O\u2019Fallon, Il, born Dec. 13, 1944 in Tyrone, died Sunday July 25, 2004 at St. Louis University Hospital, St. Louis, MO.
\nHe was employed by the city of O\u2019Fallon as the building inspector and was the retired chief of the O\u2019Fallon Fire Department. He was a member of the St. Clair County Chiefs Association and the Illinois Fire Association. He was also retired from the Air Force as a Chief Master Sergeant.
\nHe was married to the recently deceased Wanda J. Little (nee Rutherford).
\nDavid is survived by his parents Kenneth E. and Anna Marie Little (nee Faust) of Tyrone; three children, Todd and Christie Little of Oconomowoc, WI, Amy Little and fianc\u00e9 David Rodriquez of Chicago, IL and Michael Monken of O\u2019Fallon, IL.
\nHe is also survived by two grandchildren Brook and Megan Little, a beloved uncle, Byron and Louise Faust of Tyrone and an aunt, Myra and George McEwen of Tyrone and many cousins.
\nVisitation will be held Tuesday, July 27, 2004, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Schildknecht Funeral Home, 301 S. Lincoln Avenue in O\u2019Fallon, IL.
\nA memorial service will be held Tuesday, July 27, 2004 at 7 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Charlie McGee officiating. There will be a firemen\u2019s service at 7 p.m.
\nA local memorial service will be held this Saturday, July 31, 2004 at 11 a.m. at the First English Lutheran Church, 17 W. 13th Street, Tyrone with Pastor T.M. Talbot-Moses officiating.
\nAt the request of the family, his body was donated to science.
\nIn lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Uniformed Firefighters Widows and Children\u2019s Fund of the American Cancer Society.
