The show chroicled the entire seven days of the hemisphere\u2019s largest stage race, judged by many experts to be one of the world\u2019s top women\u2019s cycling events.<br \/>\n\u201cThe International Tour de Toona is thrilled to have been the subject of an award-winning production. On behalf of the thousands of sponsors and volunteers that make our community-based race possible, I extend hearty congratulations and an invitation to come back every year,\u201d said tpur promoter Rick Geist. \u201cThe powerful combination of NorthBridge Communications, OLN and Altantic Broadband, enabled us to tell the story of the hemisphere\u2019s largest stage race to a national audience.\u201d<br \/>\nNorthBridge\u2019s president and executive producer Ron Secreto told the Boca Raton News that the program stood out because of its production quaility, which combined the excitement of a bike race and travel aspects of the small town in central Pennsylvania through which the tour passes.<br \/>\n\u201cYou were so a part of the cycling race,\u201d NorthBridge\u2019s executive vice-president of programming, Carolyn Pace told the Florida newspaper about the proram and the experience it offers. \u201cWitnessing real people pushing themselves through 10 days of biking and more than 456 miles is an experience.\u201d<br \/>\n\u201cThe interest in cycling continues to grow at a fantastic rate,\u201d explained Geist. \u201cMost surveys show it is one of the top two or three areas of sports interest, and it continues to attract interest from people who enjoy high levels of personal and professional achievement and higher than normal income levels.\u201d<br \/>\nThe Outdoor Life Network plans coverage of the 2004 edition of the International Tour de Toona that will air on Atlantic Broadband, according to David Dane, vice-president and general manager. Dane is also a member of the International Tour de Toona\u2019s steering committee.
