The Thursday night Junior High Summer Basketball League got underway with three games at the Tyrone Area High School gym on June 24.
\nThe games are played at 7 p.m. each Thursday evening until the middle of August. There are approximately 25 players in the program that comprises three teams.
\nIn Game One, Team USA blew out Gladiators 32-17. High scorers for Team USA was Levi Reihart with eight and Gladiators was fronted by 13 points from Chris McCaulley.
\nGame Two was a 32-16 triumph for Olympians over Gladiators with Josh Bradley leading Olympians with 10 points and Chris McCaulley again leading Gladiators with 14 points.
\nIn the final game of the evening, Olympians edged Team USA by three, 20-17 to go undefeated for the night. Nate Dane led the winners with 11 points, while Team USA was led by nine points from John Shaffer.
