At least one television network chose to move some of its programming last night to other nights rather than run them on a delayed basis because of President Bush\u2019s press conference. For some Tyrone residents the move went unnoticed since they weren\u2019t watching television at all.
\nIn an at random sampling of area residents, The Daily Herald learned many of them weren\u2019t home or didn\u2019t have their TV sets on during the president\u2019s one hour press conference at the White House. One resident who did not identify himself said he started watching but that quickly changed.
\n\u201cI started watching it, but it was a lot of hogwash so I shut if off,\u201d said the unidentified man as he exited the Burger King in Tyrone.
\nAnother resident was more supportive of the president.
\n\u201cI think he did very well,\u201d said Bill Anderson of Tyrone.
\n\u201cThey seem to be blaming him for everything. It\u2019s not right, I think they are doing it to benefit Kerry, they are trying to butter him up.
\n\u201cHow could Bush have prevented Sept. 11?\u201d asked Anderson.
