Fifteen students from the eighth and ninth grade will be spending two days rehearsing with more than 140 students from Blair County schools in preparation for the 2004 Jr. High Blair County Band Festival at Roosevelt Middle School.
\nThe two-day festival will take place on March 8-9, with two full days of rehearsal with guest conductor, Dr. O Richard Bundy, director of athletic bands and music education at The Penn State School of Music.
\nDr. Bundy is the director of the world-renown Penn State Blue Band as well as a professor of conducting, marching band techniques and instrumental music education.
\nThe event will culminate with a public concert Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the Roosevelt auditorium, Altoona, PA. Tickets will be available at the door.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
