{"id":45244,"date":"2003-12-26T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2003-12-26T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tyronepa.com\/v3\/?p="},"modified":"2003-12-26T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2003-12-26T00:00:00","slug":"Warriors-Mark-makes-preservation-funds-available","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tyronepa.com\/?p=45244","title":{"rendered":"Warriors Mark makes preservation funds available"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Warriors Mark Township will once again make funding available to township residents and farmland owners in 2004.<br \/>\n\u201cWe set aside $10,000 a year in our budget (for land preservation),\u201d said Stuart Neff, chairman of the Warriors Mark Township supervisors.<br \/>\nThe program has been in place since 2002.<br \/>\n\u201cThe purpose of the program was to make additional funding available to those also participating in the (Huntingdon) County\u2019s version of the program,\u201d said Neff.<br \/>\nThe money for the township program comes from regular funding sources including the earned income tax and real estate transfer tax.<br \/>\nThe funds accrue from year to year. There is now $20,000 available plus the additional $10,000 for 2004, as no one has yet taken advantage of the available money according to Neff.<br \/>\nPreviously, the Huntingdon County Agricultural Land Preservation Board announced the next sign-up period for submitting applications for consideration under the County\u2019s Ag Land Preservation Program will start on Jan. 1, 2004.<br \/>\nThose applications will be accepted until 4 p.m. on March 31, 2004.<br \/>\nTo receive the county application, interested parties should contact the Huntingdon County Conservation District at 627-1627 to receive an application.<br \/>\nThose wanting additional details on the township program can write to Warriors Mark Township, P.O.
