Art teacher Colleen Ferrari explained to the board and others in attendance the differences in the program between the seventh and eighth grade. She indicated the eighth grade students have a little more time to work on a project. They develop their skills and have more time to research artists.<br \/>\nFerrari referred to seventh graders Amy Lewis and eighth grader Amber Stonebraker as two remarkable students.<br \/>\n\u201cIt amazes me that when I look at their artwork I\u2019m looking at the work of seventh and eighth graders,\u201d Ferrari commented during her presentation.<br \/>\nShe described Lewis as a gifted artist with self discipline and confidence that can be seen in her work. Ferrari also spoke of Amy\u2019s quiet and determined demeanor having a positive effect on those around her. The middle school art teacher described her pupil as someone who works to the highest potential.<br \/>\nFerrari also highlighted the accomplishments of Stonebraker. She said Amber has a maturity beyond the eighth grade level.<br \/>\n\u201cI knew even last year she\u2019d be a great artist,\u201d exclaimed the teacher in talking about Stonebraker.<br \/>\nThe two girls also had a chance to address the school board. Each described a particular piece of art that was on display in the  meeting room.
