The streets of Tyrone were lined with people last evening as the annual Tyrone Halloween Parade snaked its way from the American Legion parking lot to the National Guard Armory.
\nSponsored by the Tyrone Area Community Organization, the annual Tyrone event has consistently grown over the past few years, and last evening was no exception as the parade marched through the streets for more than 90 minutes.
\nThere were costumes of all shapes and sizes \u2013 from beautiful maidens to scary dragons, popular cartoon characters to the actors that perform on the big screen.
\nNumerous cash prizes were given to the dozens of children who braved Mother Nature\u2019s chilly touch and threat of rain. Local business owners and personalities judged the event.
\nIn addition to the costumed children, others participated in the march, including local fire companies, both the Golden Eagle junior and senior high bands, the Central Pennsylvania Humane Society and the Dover Millionaires Club.
