Tickets are now available for the fourth annual Yuletyme Tyrone Train Ride, and those interested in purchasing tickets better hurry because the last three train rides have all been sell-out events.
\nThe Yuletyme Tyrone Train Ride is scheduled for Saturday, December 13 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., with stops in historic Bellefonte for Victorian Christmas Day activities.
\nThe event is sponsored by the Tyrone Area Chamber of Commerce.
\nAn hour before the train leaves the station at Rail Park, the Tyrone Area Historical Society will provide coffee, tea and fingerfoods for all those in attendance.
\nThis will give participants plenty of time to view the historical exhibits at the Tyrone Area History Museum as well as some time for fellowship before the train ride begins.
\nThe passengers will then board the train at Rail Park and travel to historic Bellefonte. There is room on the train for approximately 170 people, and one highlight of the train car is that it is heated so that the chilly weather should not curtail anyone from traveling.
\nOnce the train reaches historic Bellefonte, there are numerous Christmas Day activities scheduled, with something sure to please everyone.
\nThe activities include a craft show, house tours, a church tour, train display, horse and carriage ride, gingerbread house contest, Santa Claus house display, and walking tours, among other activities.
\nThe train is then scheduled to return to the Tyrone station at approximately 4 p.m.
\nTickets are available for purchase at the Tyrone Chamber of Commerce, Gardners Candies and Monika\u2019s Cards and Gifts. Adult tickets are $20 and children tickets are $15. Call 684-O736 or 684-0949 for more information.
\nIn other Tyrone Chamber of Commerce news, the annual Yuletyme Tyrone Parade is scheduled for Thursday, December 4 at 6:30 p.m.
\nChildren and adults alike are invited to visit with Santa for hot chocolate and cookies after the parade at the National Guard Armory. This event is provided by the Tyrone Salvation Army and Tyrone Women\u2019s Club.
\nAlso, a breakfast with Santa is scheduled for Saturday, December 13 at 9:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m., at The Tyrone Colonial Courtyard. This event is being sponsored by the Tyrone Chamber of Commerce and the Tyrone Colonial Courtyard.
