The Tyrone girls tennis team traveled to nearby Hollidaysburg for a match against the County Seaters. Hollidaysburg hopped over the .500 mark to improve to 3-2 with a victory over the Lady Eagles 5-2.
\nHollidaysburg won all five singles matches and the Tyrone girls (1-4) came back to take both doubles matches.
\nThe number one Lady Eagles\u2019 doubles duo of Hilary McNelis and Missy Stager remained undefeated with a 9-7 win and the number two doubles team of Emily Fitzgerald and Becky Swann won 8-4.
\n\u201cHollidaysburg is getting stronger every week and played well today,\u201d said Tyrone tennis coach Charles Fitzgerald. \u201cCongratulations to Kaylee Fink on her first varsity match. She did very well. Emily Fitzgerald played an excellent match, one of her best. Hilary and Missy got a \u2018come from behind\u2019 win by making few mistakes.\u201d
\nTyrone travels to Altoona today for their rematch with the Lady Lions. Match time is set for 3 p.m.
