State police at Hollidaysburg report a 22-year-old Clearfield girl died Sunday as a result of injuries sustained in a single-vehicle accident that occurred Thursday in Sinking Valley.
\nBrooke Yeager was pronounced dead at the Altoona Hospital Sunday afternoon.
\nPolice said the accident occurred at 9:45 p.m. on Aug. 28 on the Sinking Valley Road.
\nAccording to police, Angela Bracciale, 20, of Altoona was traveling at a speed too fast for conditions. The vehicle went airborne after cresting a hill which caused her to lose control of the vehicle. The 2000 Ford Focus traveled across the opposite lane of traffic, off the roadway, then struck a tree. The impact caused the vehicle to spin and strike a second tree.
\nYeager was entrapped inside the vehicle for approximately one hour before being freed by mechanical means. She was immediately flown to Altoona Hospital by MedStar.
\nBracciale suffered severe injuries.
\nNeither the passenger or the driver were wearing their seatbelts, police said.
