Gilliand of Tyrone, Pennsylvania.<br \/>\nAfter graduating from Juniata College, she taught both public and private school. Louise was a life-long Presbyterian and received Presbyterian Women Honorary Life Membership in both the United Presbyterian Church USA and the Presbyterian Church US. She was active in preservation and history and was a member of the Good Wife\u2019s River Chapter DAR (Connecticut), Wake County Historical Society, and the N.C. Presbyterian Historical Society. Louise was a dedicated volunteer in many community programs and especially in her White Memorial Presbyterian Church Home.<br \/>\nA memorial service will be held at White Memorial Presbyterian Church, 1704 Oberlin Road on Monday, August 25, 2003 at 2 p.m. followed by visitation with the family.<br \/>\nIn lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wake Relief Food Pantry, 120 E. Edenton St. Raleigh, N.C. 27601, Inter-Faith Food Shuttle, P.O.
