(Sandy) Pressler, age 86, of Pennsylvania Furnace, died at Lock Haven Hospital following an extended illness.<br \/>\nHe was born June 7, 1917 at Mosseyburg, the son of Elmer and Sara (Lightner) Pressler. On September 12, 1943 in Altoona, he married Chloe Mildred (Shehan) who preceded him in death on October 6, 1990.<br \/>\nHe is survived by two children, John R. Pressler Jr., of Pennsylvania Furnace and Marjorie and husband Donald Foster of Warriors Mark. He is also survived by five grandchildren: Sandy; Ronde; Donnie, Steve; and John; eight great-grandchildren: Stephanie; Ashley; James; John; Matthew; Dennis; Betsy and Nicole; two brothers Paul Pressler of Mifflintown and Blair Pressler of State College and one sister Frances Cogan of Centre Hall.<br \/>\nHe was preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers.<br \/>\nHe was a member of the Cartwright Hunting Club and the Warriors Mark Volunteer Fire Company.<br \/>\nHe enjoyed playing baseball and spending time at the Baileyville Softball Field and was a past member of the Pine Grove Veterans of Foreign Wars.<br \/>\nHe was employed by the Pennsylvania Railroad and retired from Penn State University in the Animal Research Department.<br \/>\nFriends will be received at the Bruce Cox Funeral Home in Warriors Mark on Friday, July 11, 2003 from 7-9 p.m. and Saturday from 10-11 a.m.<br \/>\nFuneral services will take place Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Bruce Cox Funeral Home with Pastor Steven R. Burns officiating.<br \/>\nInterment will be at Mooresville Cemetery, Petersburg RR #1.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>John R.
