{"id":46452,"date":"2003-06-13T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2003-06-13T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tyronepa.com\/v3\/?p="},"modified":"2003-06-13T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2003-06-13T00:00:00","slug":"Frailey-resigns-as-TASD-Police-Chief","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tyronepa.com\/?p=46452","title":{"rendered":"Frailey resigns as TASD Police Chief"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>At Tuesday\u2019s meeting of the Tyrone Area School District Board of Directors, the board will consider the resignation request of Mark Frailey as the district\u2019s chief of police.<br \/>\n\u201cWe have received his resignation and it will be considered by the board,\u201d said Dr. William Miller, superintendent of Tyrone schools. \u201cBeyond that, I can\u2019t comment on a personnel issue.\u201d<br \/>\nThe school hired Frailey in August of 2000 when the school board decided to provide its own security for the school district.<br \/>\nThe school police department was funded under the Safe Schools, Healthy Students grant and Miller told The Daily Herald, \u201cI\u2019m not sure if we are going to replace the chief.\u201d<br \/>\n\u201cThe grant was projected to pay for the police department and we will divert that money to fund other programs we have ongoing in the district,\u201d said Miller. \u201cThis is not a money issue.
