Two more civil lawsuits were filed in the Blair County Court of Common Pleas yesterday against the Altoona-Johnstown Catholic Diocese, Bishop Joseph Adamec and former Bishop James J. Hogan.
\nIn addition, two other priests have been named in the suits \u2013 Rev. John Boyle and Monsignor Thomas Mabon.
\nThe announcement was made yesterday afternoon at a press conference at the Days Inn in Altoona by attorney Richard Serbin, who represents alleged victims Robert A. Paulson Jr., 44, and Darrin Mangiacarne, 25.
\nMangiacarne said he was abused by Mabon while acting as an altar boy in the late 1980s and early 90s. He claimed Mabon would inappropriately touch him, kiss him and fondle him while in the changing area at St. Mary\u2019s Church in Hollidaysburg.
\nPaulson claims he was abused by Boyle between 1973 and 1975. He said Boyle would give him alcohol until he passed out, afterwhich, he would be sodomized by Boyle.
