Rose (DiCello) Leone, age 91, of Epworth Manor and formerly of 3 Angora Road, Carnegie, was given to our father Friday, February 7, 2003 at 9:20 p.m. at Epworth Manor following an extended illness with Alzheimer\u2019s Disease.
\nShe was born November 15, 1911 at Carneige, the daughter of Nicola and Marie (Giardina) DiCello who preceded her in death.
\nOn April 19, 1933 in Carnegie, she was married by the Reverend Father Domenicus to John J. Leone who preceded her in death on May 8, 1997.
\nShe is survived by one son, John A. Leone of Bethlehem, Anita (Leone) Murray of Fort Worth, Texas and Loretta (Leone) Selgelid of North Hampton, Ma.
\nShe is also survived by six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren, three sisters Milinda Long of Pittsburgh, Evelina Brunelli of Ohio and Violanda Marion of California.
\nShe was preceded in death by Ellia Capoferri and Flora Marinelli.
\nShe was a member of the Holy Souls Catholic Church of Carnegie and of the Christian Mothers of Holy Souls.
\nShe was also a Red Cross Volunteer tot he Veterans Hospital in Pittsburgh, a trustee of the Sons and Daughters of Italy and a member of the Carnegie YWCA. She attended the Carnegie public schools.
\nShe was a homemaker who enjoyed needle and art crafts.
\nFriends may call at the John B. Brown Funeral Home, 417 Washington Street, Huntingdon today from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. A vigil service will be held at the funeral home tonight at 8:30 p.m.
\nFuneral mass will be held at the Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 6th and Washington streets, Huntingdon, at 10 a.m. Tuesday, February 11, 2003 with the Reverend Father Elwood Figirelle officiating.
\nInterment will be at Goodman Cemetery, Henderson Township.
