The Tyrone YMCA will be sending 12 swimmers to the Pennsylvania District meet this weekend at Clarion University. Swimmers can swim a maximum of two individual events and one relay at Districts. However, to be eligible to compete in the District Meet, swimmers must achieve stringent qualifying times during the regular season. The top nine swimmers from each event will then advance to the State Championships to be held next weekend at Penn State University. Best of luck to all Tyrone and all other area swimmers this weekend.

\nMaria Thompson – 50 freestyle and 50 back; Mackenzie Weyandt 100 individual medley & 50 butterfly
\n11 & 12 Girls:
\nSalena Bradigan – 50 butterfly & 100 freestyle; Katherine Kananen – 50 breaststroke
\n11 & 12 Boys
\nChristian Peoples – 200 individual medley & 50 backstroke
\n13 & 14 Girls
\nBethany Seidel – 200 freestyle & 200 individual medley; Megan Wilkinson – 100 backstroke & 100 breaststroke, 200 medley relay team of Kelly Pearson, Valerie Turnbaugh, Seidel and Wilkinson.
