This time, the Baby Golden Eagles took a 28 &#8211; 23 lead into halftime. A strong second half effort then allowed them to coast to a 61-41 victory.<br \/>\nAgainst State College in the Championship Game, Tyrone took a 21-19 lead into halftime in a back-and-forth first half. Neither team could muster more than a three-point lead until Tyrone built a 38 &#8211; 32 lead with 1:34 left on the clock. The Golden Eagles had to withstand a furious charge from State College, and their own poor shooting from the foul line, to escape with the title.<br \/>\nIn the semifinal contest,, Adam Shaffer led nine players in the scoring column with 21 points and Josh Clark added 12, while Doug Morrow and Adam Corle tossed down 7 apiece.<br \/>\nIn the finals, Adam Corlefronted the Tyrone junior high courtmen with 18 points, while Doug Morrow added nine. Josh Clark and Adam Shaffer chipped in seven and six respectively.<br \/>\n\u201cWe played extremely well against some tough competition this weekend,\u201d  quoted Coach Jim Domenick. \u201cThe kids really pulled together as a team. One area we will need to continue to work on, though, is our foul shooting (16 for 32).
