The Tyrone junior high boys basketball team defeated Philipsburg-Osceola 59-46 at the Tyrone gym on Friday afternoon. the third win in a row for Tyrone improves their record to 3-2.
\nThe Baby Eagles started quickly leading the Mounties 15-8 after the opening quarter.
\nAt halftime the Tyrone junior high boys had stretched their lead to 32-20. P-O never was able to get any closer than 10 points in the second half.
\n\u201cWe had many mental lapses throughout the game,\u201d lamented Tyrone coach Jim Domenick. \u201cWe\u2019ve got to learn to play intense for four quarters.\u201d
\nTyrone was led by Adam Corle\u2019s 21 points. Adam Shaffer chipped in 13 points and Wade Branstetter came off the bench to toss in seven.
