The Tyrone swim teams both registered victories against Cambria Heights on Monday night.
\nThe boys team defeated Cambria Heights handily 115-45 to run their early season mark to 2-0, while the TAHS girls edged Heights 87-79 to even their record at 1-1.
\nEric Nulton and Brian McManigal were double winners in individual events- Nulton won the 200 IM and the 100 butterfly, while McManigal won the 200 freestyle and the 100 backstroke. Both also were on the victorious 200 free relay.
\nBrian Pearson won the 500 freestyle, Trevor Harbst took the 100 breaststroke and Evan Stover won the 100 freestyle.
\nThe Eagle boys team won every event except the 50 free and showed their depth by placing two swimmers in the top three of every individual event and had the top three in both the 100 buterfly and 500 free.
\nThe girls won every event, but weren\u2019t able to match their male counterparts in numbers supporting the winners.
\nJeri Harper won the 200 IM and the 100 backstroke and Zoe Yeaton won the 100 butterfly and 50 free and both girls were on the winning 200 medley relay and 200 free relay as well. Katie Frye won the 200 free and was a member of the 200 free and 400 free relay teams. Angel Diehl won the 100 free and was a member of the the victorious 200 and 400 free relay teams as well Leah cherry won the 500 freestyle and anchored the winning 200 medley relay team..<\/p>\n
The Tyrone swim teams are at home on Wednesday when they meet Bishop McCort in the Tyrone Senior High pool.
