The Tyrone girls volleyball team ran into a wall in their quarterfinal District Six volleyball match against Ligonier Valley on Thursday night.
\nIn the match played at Richland High School, the Tyrone Lady Eagles finished a great season by dropping two games to to the Lady Mounties 4-15, 11-15.
\nStephanie Catich had five service points for Tyrone, Lauren Haag had 12 kills and Amber DelBaggio has 20 assists.
\n\u201cOur serve receive was off in the first game and we didn’t give ourselves enough opportunities to play aggressively,\u201d explained Tyrone coach Dave Eckberg. \u201cThe girls settled in for the second game and really played strong against a very good opponent. Lauren was putting the ball away and we served tough. Ligonier Valley was as good a team as we’ve seen all year.
