Bring your lawn chair and “hope for good weather” this Saturday and Sunday, September 28 and 29 to the 13th Annual HarvestFest at DelGrosso’s Amusement Park located in Tipton. Events start and rides open at 11 a.m. Daily. For those die-hards, shopping begins at 10 a.m.
\nHuntington County local, country singer Chris Woodward is on the main stage at 3 p.m. And 6 p.m. On Sunday, favorite Ronnie McDowell is on the main stage at 3 p.m. And 6 p.m. The Tyrone Community Players are back again this year both days with “The Baker’s Revenge, which is located in the Children’s Theatre- Midway Stage. The kids will enjoy the petting zoo open both days of HarvestFest and a Civil War Battle Reenactment, canon firing included, Saturday and Sunday at 1 p.m., 3 p.m., and 5 p.m.
\nNumerous choice dishes are returning to HarvestFest again this year. Among them are dipped caramel apples exclusively for HarvestFest brought by the Tyrone Regional Arts Council, an entire building of Jewish specialties courtesy of the Temple Beth Israel, and Open Kettle Ham & Bean Soup from the Sinking Valley Farm Show. Don’t forget the sweets from the Tyrone Knights of Columbus with their Funnel Cakes and Home Made Apple Dumplings from the Otterbein Methodist Church.
\nSunday is the day for classics. The Allegheny Mountain Region Antique Automobile Club of America will have their beauties on display all day long. Call (814)944-8853 for more specific information of automobiles to look for this year.
\nDon\u2019t forget to stop by DelGrosso\u2019s own Pizza, Ice Cream, Cotton Candy, and Nacho stand open both days for wonderful, traditional park concessions. DelGrosso\u2019s Sweet Shop is also open.
