The Tyrone Community Players recently announced audition dates for the second production in their 2008-09 season, entitled \u201c Our Leap Year\u201d.
\nThe production is \u201cHonk!\u201d, a musical re-telling of the classic tale, The Ugly Duckling.
\nFilled with lively music, upbeat characters and dialogue, Broadway quality production numbers and a story with a message that appeals to all ages, \u201cHonk!\u201d is a delight for performers and audiences alike.
\nAuditions for this musical are scheduled for Sunday, December 7 at 2 p.m. for young performers between the ages of eight and 14 and at 7 p.m. for adults.
\nA second day of auditions for adult performers will be held on Wednesday, December 10 at 6:30 p.m.
\nCall-backs, if necessary, will be held on Wednesday, December 10 at 8 p.m.
\nAll auditions will be held in \u201cThe Building\u201d, home of the TCP, located at 1019 Logan Ave., Tyrone.
\nAdult performers should come prepared with a short vocal audition. Young performers will be taught a song from the show for their audition. All actors will be asked to read\/perform from the script.
\n\u201cHonk!\u201d is under the direction of Cindy Bennett, and the musical director is Laura Harris.
\nIt is scheduled to be performed at the Tyrone Area High School auditorium February 27 and 28.
\nNo rehearsals will be scheduled until January 5.
