If you like lots of offense, this was a game to see. Tyrone Legion and Locker Room combined for 30 hits and 21 runs scored, Monday evening in Hollidaysburg.
\nLocker Room scored in bunches, with a pair of first-inning tallies to take the early lead, then six in the third stanza and five more in the fourth to outlast Tyrone Legion, 13-8.
\nTyrone Legion put all their runs on the board in the middle three frames, temporarily tying the score with two runs in the top of the third, and scoring four in the fourth and adding two final scores in the fifth.
\nMike Pechtold\u2019s three-run home run in the bottom of the third was the big blow for Locker Room, giving his team a four-run lead they never gave up, in the hit-hit-hit contest. Winning pitcher Derick Coppersmith led off the third inning with a home run for Locker Room to quickly break the tie, and Locker Room never looked back.
\nDonnie Hunter, who took the loss for the Legion, had three hits, and Matt Brooks, Aaron Cunningham and Adam Bonsell each had two hits for Tyrone Legion, with Brooks and Kris Decker unloading doubles. Brooks, Cunningham, Eric Desch and Tyler Golden each had one RBI.
\nHunter struck out one and walked two, while Brock Anders fanned three batters and didn\u2019t walk a batter in relief.
\nJoe Hargis and Joe Ulsh each had three hits, with Hargis banging out two doubles and Ulsh one. Coppersmith picked up the win, striking out six and walking one.
\nTyrone Legion (7-9) will play Dick\u2019s Pharmacy today at Geesey Park at 6 p.m.
