(The Daily Herald\/Christina Pryor)<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The Tyrone Elks has announced the senior \u201cTeenagers of the Month\u201d for March, April and May.<\/p>\n<p>Award recipients are judged on the basis of multiple achievements, including: character, leadership, service, citizenship and scholastics.<br \/>\nFor March, Felicia Fisher was chosen. Her school activities included: newspaper, art, track and field and Spanish Club, and special honors included Honor Society and Academic Academy. Felicia also volunteered at Epworth Manor.<br \/>\nAlso chosen for March was Jonathan Harris. POPS Extension, Concert Choir and FCA kept Jonathan busy in school. Out of school, he participated in Church Youth Group, dance lessons and voice lessons. Special honors for Jonathan included receiving an Isaac Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role and also being chosen for State Chorus. His work experience includes Thelma\u2019s Cafe.<br \/>\nNicole Moore was chosen as a \u201cTeenager of the Month\u201d for April. Her school activities included: soccer, Buddy Program, SADD and French Club. Special honors included National Honor Society and Perfect Attendance. Church Youth Group, J-House Juniors and AYSO kept Nicole busy outside of school. Her work experience includes Subway in Port Matilda.<br \/>\nAlso chosen for April was Dudley McNitt. His school activities included: soccer, band, marching band, ski club and swim team. Out of school, Dudley participated in Boy Scouts of America, Habitat for Humanity and is a church deacon. Special honors included: Tri-M, band vice president, Tri-M vice president and soccer captain. His work experience includes lifeguarding at DelGrosso\u2019s.<br \/>\nFor May, Cassandra Zimmerman was chosen as a \u201cTeenager of the Month\u201d. Her school activities included: Key Club, HOSA, volleyball, track and National Honor Society. Special honors included receiving the Miss Teen of Pennsylvania Scholarship and the Recognition Program. Work experience includes Kopp Drug.<br \/>\nAlso, Michael Moore was chosen as a \u201cTeenager of the Month\u201d for May. His school activities included: varsity baseball, Key Club and National Honor Society. Out of school, Boy Scouts, church youth group and volunteering at the local soup kitchen kept Mike busy. Special honors included Best GPA for his junior year and receiving the Todd Narehood Award.
