Tuesday fifteen young wrestlers both Elementary and Junior High started their quest to become the best wrestlers in the state in their age and weight division.
Competing in Section II of Area II at Philipsburg-Osceola High School were Ty Snyder, Lance Loose, Derrick Harris, Bryon Gunter, McKay Skelton, Nicholas Getz, Garrett Woodring and Elijah Sleeth, Zac Brown, Dylan Weston, Christian Getz, Mark McMongle, Andrew Warrender, Michael Sleeth and Colton Pennabaker.
Bryon Gunter, Nicholas Getz and Andrew Warrender placed first, while Lance Loose, Michael and Elijh Sleeth and Mark McMongle placed second. All seven boys will move onto Friday night and Saturday to compete in the Area II finals. The top two in each weight and age division from Area II will move on the state level competition to be held in Erie Pa. Area II covers eight counties and 45 school districts in central Pennsylvania.
