Stole prescription pad to attain drugs
On Feb. 26 state police reported Kimberlee LaRosa, 27, Tyrone, was arrested for forging the name of Dr. Lawrence Levinson on a prescription pad that she stole from his office in Tipton. LaRosa was also charged under the Pharmacy Act for writing out a prescription for vicodin at Martin’s Pharmacy in Antis Twp. and representing that Dr. Levinson wrote out the prescription for her. On Feb. 28, LaRosa was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Paula Aigner and she was released on $100,000 unsecured bail.

Struck with phone receiver
State police reported on March 4 that Violet Lee Pfahler, 38, Tyrone and Angela Renee Brandt, 19, Tyrone, entered into a verbal argument at Pfahler’s RD2 Box 286 Kerbaugh Rd. residence. Brandt contacted Blair 911 to report the incident. After making the call, Brandt allegedly struck Pfahler in the face one time with the phone receiver. The incident then ended. Pfahler was later treated at Altoona Regional Hospital for injuries she sustained as a result of being assaulted. Charges of Simple Assault and Harassment were filed at District Magistrate Fred Miller’s office. The preliminary hearing is scheduled for March 25.

DUI
On March 4 state police reported that Thomas Randall Case, 43, Birmingham, struck a curb and blew out his tire along SR 22 in Smithfield Twp. Case was checked and was subsequently arrested for DUI. Charges were filed with District Court 20-3-01 of Huntingdon County.
