The Rotary Club of Tyrone is proud to announce the winner of the 4-Way Speech contest. RJ Beck demonstrated his public speaking ability during a club meeting and received $100. RJ’s topic discussed mental illness and the lack of adequate care and the dangers it presents. RJ is a sophomore at Tyrone Area High School and is interested in becoming a secondary music teacher. The Rotary Club of Tyrone is concerned with promoting high ethical standards and utilizes the 4-Way Test in their business and professional lives, which asks the questions: “Of the things we think, say, or do: Is it the truth? Is it fair to all concerned? Will it build goodwill and better friendships? Will it be beneficial to all concerned?” RJ is pictured with Rotary Club President, Bill Bell.
