Plans are now under way for the Tyrone Area Chamber of Commerce Ben DelBaggio Memorial Golf Classic, which is scheduled for Thursday, September 18 at the Sinking Valley Country Club.
The registration deadline is September 6.
The day of the event, registration will be held at 7 a.m. and 11 a.m. Lunch will be at 11 a.m. or 1 p.m. There will be an 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. shotgun start, four-person scramble.
Prizes and snacks will be provided during the tournament.
Entry fees are: Team fees, $400 (4 players per team) or individual golf, $125.
Part of the proceeds of the tournament will be donated to The Tyrone-Snyder Public Library in memory of Ben DelBaggio (chosen by the family).
The golf package includes: 18 holes of golf, cart, course refreshments and snacks, lunch, door prizes, golf balls, towel and more and sponsored giveaways.
Skill prizes will be awarded. Door prizes include: car, cash or vacation.
Be sure to register early.
Also, businesses are encouraged to get on the green as a sponsor.
Gold sponsorship for $1,000 includes four golfers, hole sponsor and corporate sponsorship recognition, including the opportunity to display your banner at the tournament
Silver sponsorship for $500 includes two golfers, hole sponsorship, recognition at the event and promotional advertising.
Bronze sponsorship for $250 includes hole sponsor, recognition at the event and promotional advertising.
Hole sponsorship opportunities are also available. To sponsor a hole, it is $100. Sign and logo deadline for this is August 15. This includes the name of your business on one of the 18 holes to be played during the tournament. Golfers will have a chance to win a great prize by identifying all the hole sponsors.
Skill prize sponsorship for $50 includes name recognition on a skilled hole.
Hole in one sponsorship is the cost of the insurance policy of your choice. There will be a chance to place a car, cash, vacation, etc. at three different challenging holes.
Door prize or giveaway opportunities are also available. Your choice of items can be used as door prizes and/or giveaways.
