The summer Sunday series at Reservoir Park was well attended this weekend with close to 200 people filling the area around the amphitheater stage to hear the sounds of “The Big Band Sound, Incorporated”. This talented group of musicians, from a four-county area, is a blend of players with years of combined training and experience. Now in its 37th year, the band has a repertoire of over three hundred musical arrangements and uses the full instrumentation of the original big bands. All summer Sunday series concerts are made possible by a grant from the PA Council on the Arts, the National Endowment for the Arts and Tyrone Borough. Concerts are free of charge, but donations are accepted. For additional information contact the Arts Line office at 684-ART2. (The Daily Herald/Amanda Golden)
