Many area residents and people who have visited Tyrone over the holidays have voiced their disgust over the vandalism that has occurred on the streets and I-99 underpass within the borough and the townships of the Tyrone community. Tyrone Borough Police Chief Joe Beachem told The Daily Herald that these acts of vandalism are “uncalled for” and “eventually costs someone to pay for the clean-up.” Anyone who can provide information on the person(s) involved in this defacement of the community is asked to call Tyrone police or state police.
