The Tyrone Community Partnership announced that the “Soup Tasting” scheduled as part of the Yuletyme Christmas festivities has been canceled.
The organization cited the lack of participants as the reason for the event’s demise.
More than thirty local restaurants and other organizations were solicited for what would have been the ninth annual event.
Even after follow-up telephone contacts, the response was such that it was deemed there was insufficient interest to hold the soup tasting this season.
Members of the Partnership hope to renew the event in the future.
