With the theme of “Building Friendships”, Grace Church is providing a Summer Sunday evening program from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., beginning Sunday, June 10.
The fun and learning time will run through August with a few exceptions due to V.B.S. for the children and picnic fellowships. The Purpose Statement of Grace Church is, “Learning to become more like Christ”. The goal is to learn more about Jesus in a “fun” and “friendship” atmosphere for every age group in the community.
The Sunday evening weekly program is as follows:
Adult Life Groups: Ladies Bible Study: Jeanne Ferrell and Kim Smith, Facilitator/Leaders; Men’s Bible Study: Don Kobak and Dean Knepp, Facilitator/Leaders and Couples Bible Study: Roy Garthwaite and Dave Grazier, Facilitator/Leaders.
Elementary Students (K – 5th grades): “Handi’s Fun Club” – Bob Smith (Tyrone’s own Handi the clown) and Team will present a weekly “High Energy” club for the children K-5th grade. Handi’s Club will be “kid focused” with a variety of activities all interwoven to make learning about Jesus fun! There will be lots of “action” Christian music, Bible learning through interaction that kid’s love using puppets, drama, gospel illusion and much more!
The purpose for this Summer Sunday evening program is for the entire family to participate in the “learning and building friendships” as Christians, therefore the church asks that the parents not “drop the kids off” and go shopping but to join one of the adult groups provided. The design is that the entire family meets at the same time to grow and be blessed of the Lord.
Middle School (6th – 9th grades): Grace Youth Pastor, Nathan Van Prooyen and youth leaders will provide the Jr. High students a summer of fun and learning too. A variety of summer activities are planned that will provide a positive environment of Christian fun for this challenging, fast “action” age group of young adolescents! If you’re in sixth grade through ninth grades, want to have fun and learn about Jesus, come out this coming Sunday, June 10 at 6 p.m. to Grace!
A nursery is provided for newborn through 4-years-old for the single parent or parents who want to enjoy a Summer Bible Study with others. There is no charge for the nursery care.
