A Child’s Garden Preschool is a theme-based preschool program for ages three to five-years-old.
The preschool teachers each day incorporate stories, songs, music and movement, finger plays, circle time, play time and art activities.
The preschool program encourages the child to become independent, respect others’ feelings and learn about basic etiquette, encompassed daily in a Christian atmosphere.
While emphasizing learning is fun, the children learn reading skills, prewriting and writing skills, letter and number recognition, colors and shapes, as well as phonemic/phonic awareness.
Children at the preschool enjoy field trips throughout the year. Also, during each month, there are special days to celebrate including football day, pajama party day, pancake day and a Mother’s Day tea just to mention a few.
A Child’s Garden Preschool has extended hours from 7 to 9 a.m. for breakfast before preschool time from 9 to 11:30 a.m. and after preschool from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The preschool is located at the Tyrone Church of the Brethren.
