The Beatles’ hit from the 60s was titled “With a Little Help from My Friends” and the Women’s Club of Tyrone has again seen their “friends” – the business people, craftsmen, and corporations of Tyrone and surrounding areas – generously contributing support for their fundraising effort to benefit orthopedic services at Tyrone Hospital.
The Women’s Club is holding their third annual Dinner Dance and Silent Auction to benefit Tyrone Hospital on Saturday, March 24, at the U.S. Hotel in Hollidaysburg.

The following items will be available for purchase through a live auction: a four-day, three night trip to Mexico, courtesy Heritage Travel and Women’s Club; Memorial Day weekend bus trip to Atlantic City, courtesy of Dewayne Bordell; a one-day guided fly fishing trip for two, courtesy of Spring Ridge Club and Don and Pam Beaver; football autographed by Penn State coach, Joe Paterno and former Notre Dame coach Ara Parseqhian; two framed limited edition prints by George LaVanish; a hall armoire, courtesy of Wolfs’ Furniture, Bellfonte and a gold, silver and blue topaz necklace and earring set.
