I-99 was the scene of a two car accident near mile marker 43 on March 5.
The first vehicle, operator unknown, was traveling north on I-99 and Elizabeth Bettwy, age 49 of Altoona, was traveling north behind the first vehicle. Several sheets of dry wall came loose and became airborne. A few pieces of the dry wall impacted Bettwy’s front end. The rest of the dry wall impacted and covered both travel lanes of I-99.
The operator of the first vehicle and any other witness of this crash need to contact PA State Police at Hollidaysburg at 696-6100.

SR 4031 in Snyder Township was the scene of a one car accident March 6.
James McClellan, age 70 of Tyrone, was traveling south on SR 4031 when he failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway. He traveled up an embankment which caused his vehicle to roll onto its left side.
McClellan received minor injuries. He was wearing his seatbelt.

An Antis Township man was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia March 7.
State Police were called to the scene of a reported drug overdose. The suspect received EMS treatment at the residence and was not taken to the hospital. Inside the residence, police discovered a small quantity of drug paraphernalia.
The investigation continues.

I-99 was the scene of a one vehicle accident near the construction zone in Snyder Township on March 6.
State Police report that Lewis Cornelius, age 64 of Bradford, was traveling north on I-99 into the construction zone. He fell asleep while driving and drifted to the right and impacted an electronic blinking directional construction stand that had been placed on the west berm. Cornelius and the construction stand traveled northwest into the median and came to rest facing northwest. Cornelius was injured, but both passengers in his vehicle were not injured.
He was cited for careless driving.

State police report a runaway teen in the Tipton area March 6.
A 14-year-old female was reported missing after walking away from her grandparent’s house during an argument. She was last seen walking north on Tipton Road.
She returned to her grandparent’s house several hours later.

A Tyrone woman, Chandra Taylor, age 26, reported receiving harassing phone calls from a woman known to her March 6.

SR 99 in Antis Township, was the scene of a one car accident on March 7.
Police report that Chasey Romani, age 24 of Bellwood, was traveling north on SR 99 and lost control on snow covered roads. Her vehicle left the roadway, rolled onto its side, and came to rest along the embankment.
Romani was not injured.
