Mr. Kenneth E. Waznak, age 81, of 608 Park Avenue, Tyrone died Thursday, March 8, 2007 at 7:40 a.m. at the Altoona Center for Nursing Care.
He was born May 4, 1925 in Winburne, the son of Anthony and Matilda Tulowitski Waznak.
On October 9, 1948 at Winchester, Va. he was married to Marjorie McNelis who survives.
Also surviving is a son, Kenneth E. Waznak Jr. of Falls Creek, Pa.; three nephews: Mark, John and Bradley and a sister-in-law Aurelia. A brother, Reverend Arnold Waznak, preceded him in death.
Mr. Waznak was a member of the First English Lutheran Church where he had served as an usher. He was a graduate of Cooper Township High School Class of 1943. He had served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He retired in 1989 as a machinist at Chicago Rivet and Machine Company.
Funeral service for Kenneth E. Waznak will be Sunday, March 11, 2007 at 2 p.m. at the Richard H. Searer Funeral Home Inc. with Pastor Susan Yatta and Pastor T.M. Talbot Moses officiating.
Interment will be made in Blair Memorial Park at the convenience of the family. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday for one hour prior to the time service at 2 p.m.
