The Champion Life Center announced that in association with the American Association of Christian Counselors they will hold an 18-week training course for those who work with or are interested in working with children and adolescents.
A preview of the Youthworker Certification Program is being held in Altoona at the Champion Life Center, on Thursday, February 1 at 7 p.m. Contact Pastor James Baldwin at 942-9400 ext. 5 to register.
The Youthworker Training Program will hold classes every Thursday from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and include 18 weeks of classes taught through video by various instructors from around the country and include lessons on the emerging issues and relevant topics of child and adolescent development from a Biblical perspective. The preview is free and the total cost for the 18 week course is $300.
“This is an incredible opportunity for anyone to learn how to help children and adolescents using Biblical principles. People such as school teachers, parents, grandparents, counselors, church laypeople or anyone would benefit from taking this course,” said Pastor Baldwin.
