The fifth annual Health-O-Rama will take place on Saturday, January 20 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Blair County Convention Center. This event is sponsored by the Allegheny Mountains Convention and Visitors Bureau and Altoona Regional Health System. It is the only event of its kind in the Alleghenies Region.
“Health-O-Rama is a terrific opportunity for people to find out how to achieve and maintain better health. Altoona Regional’s health care professionals will be on hand to provide information and answer questions on many important health topics. The line-up of physician programs this year is perhaps our best ever,” according to David Cuzzolina of Altoona Regional Health System.
Several different seminars will be offered this year.
They will include: Hips and Knees: What Can Be Done About the Pain; Stressed Out? Identifying and Managing Stress; Peripheral Vascular Disease: What’s it all about; Freedom From Arthritis Pain, Diabetic Wounds and Leg Ulcers; My Head Is Pounding: Migraine Types, Causes, Treatment and Prevention; Common Conditions of the Hand; Plastic Surgery: What Can It Do for You; Diabetes: Prevention and Treatment; Insomnia: Treating a National Epidemic; The Road to Wellness: Prevention and Education will Get you There and Reverse Shoulder Replacement.
In addition to the seminars, the event will also feature several vendors with a broad range of interests, exhibits, interactive and hands on demonstrations, helpful scans and screenings.
Some of the vendors for this year’s Health-O-Rama will be: Wellness One, Healthsouth Rehabilitation Hospital, First Choice Chiropractic, Advanced Regional Center for Ankle and Foot Car, Home Instead Senior Care, Altoona Arthritis and Osteoporosis Center for Clinical Research, Access Ez Lift, Med-Van Transport, Mountain View Eye Associates, AMED, Family Services, and Home Helpers.
