Presbyterians to feature Norm Huff and Civil War Christmas carol

The church choir will perform poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow’s miraculous peace carol entitled, “I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day”.
How miraculous that on Christmas day 1863, Longfellow could compose this carol after his wife died in a house fire, his eldest son suffered a bullet wound to the spine and nearly 50,000 soldiers already had died at Gettysburg.
Today, as American soldiers still die and Americans still feel depressed, Tyrone Presbyterians, along with Reverend Huff, invite folks to join them at 10:30 a.m. on December 17 as they offer the uplifting message of peace on earth, good-will to men.
