Deanne C. Beers, 68, of Tyrone RD 2, Fostoria, died Monday morning at M. S. Hershey Medical Center due to complications of a kidney transplant.
She was born on Oct. 19, 1938 in Tyrone, a daughter of the late William Andrew and Madeline (Stewart) Barrett. She married Harold E. Beers on Aug. 3, 1992 in Winchester, VA.
Surviving are her husband; daughters: Michelle Kuzawski and husband, Richard of Lakeside, CA and Dawn Bass and husband, Donald of Arden, NC; sons: Forrest Hazzard and wife, Rosa of Santee, CA and Phillip Hazzard and wife, Kathy of San Diego, CA; three grandchildren and one great grandchild; sisters: Kathleen Clites and husband, Robert of Tyrone and Stephanie Basca and husband, Michael of Phoenixville.
Mrs. Beers was formerly employed as a retail clerk at Gee Bee’s, Altoona with 20 years of service.
She was a member of Tyrone Elks Lodge #212. She enjoyed photography and flower gardening.
Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, Nov. 24 at the Jon C. Russin Funeral Home, Bellwood, where an Elks service will be held at 7 p.m.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 25, 2006 at the funeral home with Rev. David H. Roesch officiating.
Interment will be at Logan Valley Cemetery, Bellwood.
