Champion Life Center, formerly Youth Outreach, has announced major improvements to its original Discount Food Program.
Several new options are being offered at exceptional values by a new, quality supplier starting with the November menu. Any package is available to anyone. There are no income guidelines, residential boundaries or age restrictions.
Individual packages are excellent choices for single people, senior citizens and college students. This month’s menu includes boneless, skinless chicken breast fillets, chicken drums and thighs, center cut pork chops, assorted fruits and vegetables, potatoes, onions and some nonperishable grocery items. This package is available for $17.50.
Family packages are still available for the low cost of $25. This month’s package includes boneless, skinless chicken breast fillets, chicken drums and thighs, center cut pork chops, a boneless pork sirloin roast, boneless breaded chicken strips, potatoes, onions, assorted fruits and vegetables, an apple berry pie and some nonperishable grocery items.
Thanksgiving dinner packages are being featured this month. For a value of $25.50, your whole Thanksgiving dinner is provided. This includes a turkey, brown and serve rolls, broccoli, apple pie, apples, oranges, cabbage, frozen sweet potato patties, stuffing, white potatoes, onions, celery, corn and green beans. This package should feed approximately seven people.
Other specials include a holiday party pack for $14.50, USDA choice fillet beef steaks for $12.50 and homemade peanut butter meltaway fudge for $5.
Champion Life Center is excited to offer this new, quality food program at an even greater value to anyone who is interested. Orders and payments in the form of cash, money orders or EBT will be accepted on Saturday, November 4 between the hours of 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. at Champion Life Center, 1331 Twelfth Avenue in downtown Altoona.
First time participants should bring photo identification. November’s food will be distributed on Saturday, November 18 at Champion Life Center. Menus are available outside the main entrance of Champion Life Center for your convenience.
