It doesn’t seem possible, but the Christmas season is only a few months away.
That means anyone interested in performing in “A Christmas Caroled”, the Tyrone Community Players’ production to be held at the historic Mishler Theater, must get ready for the upcoming auditions.
Audition dates for “A Christmas Caroled” will be held Sunday and Monday, September 17 and 18 at 7 p.m. each night in “the building” on Logan Avenue in Tyrone.
The cast for this musical interpretation of the Dickens’ holiday classic includes seven principle men, five principle women, one boy, and an ensemble filled with speaking and non-speaking parts.
Those auditioning are asked to be prepared with a vocal audition. An accompanist and CD player will be available for use at the auditions. If you do not have a prepared piece of music, a song from the show will be taught at the audition.
“A Christmas Caroled” is a creative, musical retelling of the classic Dickens’ ghost story. With an original adaptation and score by Tyrone resident Will A. Jones, TCP presented the premier of this seasonal spectacular in 1999.
Performance dates for “A Christmas Caroled”, under the direction of Cindy Bennett and Karen Mayhew, are November 24-26 in the beautiful Mishler Theater in Altoona.
