The Saint Francis University Small Business Development Center has scheduled pre-business planning seminars for September.
The free seminars are for people who are interested in opening and operating their own business. The following are the scheduled dates for September:
• Tuesday, September 12, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the Fulton County Library, 227 North First Street, McConnellsburg;
• Thursday, September 14, 9 a.m. to noon in the ABCD Board Room, Devorris Center for Business Development, 3900 Industrial Park Drive, Altoona;
• Friday, September 15, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Somerset Rural Electric Co-op Building, 223 Industrial Park Road, Somerset and
• Thursday, September 21, 9 a.m. to noon at the JARI Center for Business Development, 160 JARI Drive, Johnstown.
Topics to be discussed are feasibility issues, marketing, recordkeeping, business plans, legal issues, regulations/taxes and financing.
