The 9th annual Big Brother Big Sister Pepsi Golf Classic and Fiore Chrysler Jeep/Leonard S. Fiore, Inc. Dinner and Drawing will be held Monday, July 24 at the Sinking Valley Country Club, Altoona.
Registration begins at 10:30 a.m., with all golfers receiving a prize pack. Lunch begins at 11 a.m. Team photos will be taken of each foursome, courtesy of Bill Stratton and the Film Center. The golf classic will begin with a shotgun start at noon. The tournament is open to all levels of golfers, both men and women. Foursomes will be handicapped based on their team’s total handicap. Prizes will be awarded for various skill shots, including $10,000 for a hole in one, sponsored by Fiore Chrysler Jeep and Leonard S. Fiore, Inc. and a golf vacation package at Hilton Head Island Resort, sponsored by Preferred Plumbing, Heating and Cooling by McCarl’s. There is a hole in one contest on every par 3.
A donation of $150 per golfer or $600 per foursome is requested. Individuals or businesses interested in purchasing a sponsor package may do so at different levels: gold, silver or bronze. Prominently display your business’s name on one of the tee or green signs that day for a donation of $100. The Fiore Chrysler Jeep/ Leonard S. Fiore, Inc. dinner and drawing will begin at 5 p.m. Tickets for the evening’s dinner and drawing are also available, for non-golfers. All proceeds from this year’s event stay in Blair County to assist the local program in their work with the 200+ children from single-parent families involved with the agency, by providing one-to-one mentoring programs, additional services and positive youth activities.
