A rural Tyrone residence was the scene of a theft and a burglary sometime between 8 a.m. last Thursday and 3 p.m. on Monday.
Police said someone entered the home of Donald and Barbara Myers through unknown access. Once inside, they took nine bottles of wine from the kitchen wine rack and five bottles of liquor from a hall pantry. They also took about $500 in change from a large jar.

A 28-year-old Altoona man was involved in a one-vehicle accident on State Route 453 in Snyder Township on Saturday at 8:42 a.m.
The crash happened when Daniel Diehl was traveling south on the road and for unknown reasons, he lost control of his vehicle while attempting to negotiate a gradual right hand curve. Diehl’s car left the road and hit a large tree.

A Jeep Cherokee was stolen in Bellwood sometime between Saturday at 11 p.m. and Sunday at 9 a.m.
The theft happened on N. 4th Street where the vehicle was parked. The vehicle belonged to Dobson Gwin and Foreman, Inc. of Altoona. The vehicle’s registration plate is Pennsylvania ELH1847. Anyone with information on the theft is asked to contact state police at Hollidaysburg at 696-6100.

State police investigated an assault and harassment case that involved four teens at DelGrosso’s Amusement Park in Tipton on Sunday.
Police said two girls, ages 13 and 14 from State College, were assaulted by two teenage girls between the ages of 14 and 17 at two different locations at the park.
One of the teen suspects was described as having blond hair and wearing a black jacket. The other suspect was described as having red hair and a noticeably protruding stomach.

An Altoona man’s parked car was hit in the main parking lot of DelGrosso’s Amusement Park in Tipton on Sunday at approximately 4:45 p.m.
Police said a suspected hit-and-run driver attempted to park beside Dean Maucaurelle’s legally parked 1999 Suzuki, but instead hit its right-rear bumper.
The hit-and-run vehicle fled in an unknown direction. Police said the driver was described as between ages 16 and 21 and was wearing a red DelGrosso’s park shirt. The car’s color was described as white.
