A 45-year-old Tyrone man was involved in a DUI-related crash last Thursday at 5:30 p.m. on Decker Hollow Road in Snyder Township.
State police said Issac Ivan Eaken was traveling north on State Route 4033 while he was negotiating a right curve in the road as he operated a three-wheeler.
Eaken lost control, left the road and hit his head on a tree. He was taken to the Altoona Regional Medical Center by ambulance for treatment.
Eaken was arrested for DUI and related summary traffic violations.

A 58-year-old Tyrone man was involved in a DUI-related crash last Friday at 1:11 a.m.
The one-vehicle accident happened when James Michael McDonald was traveling south on old Route 220 when he failed to negotiate a curve in the road due to excessive speed. McDonald’s vehicle crossed the northbound lane and struck a guiderail.
His vehicle then spun and struck numerous mailboxes and a stop sign post and came to a final rest.
State police said McDonald’s blood alcohol content was above the legal limit.
He was arrested for DUI and charges were filed in district court. McDonald was wearing a seat belt and was not injured.

State police conducted a sobriety check point over the weekend on old Route 220 about a six-tenth of a mile north of State Route 4018 in Antis Township.
Police said 97 vehicles were stopped. Four people were checked on portable breath testers with negative results. No one was arrested for DUI. There was five citations issued for speeding, one citation for following too closely and one citation for a registration being expired. There were a total of 17 written warnings also issued for traffic violations.
