P&J Productions will present Sherwood: The Musical Adventures of Robin Hood, May 17-20, at 7:30 p.m., and May 21 at 2 p.m. in the Church In The Middle Of The Block Cultural Resource Center, 217-19 5th Avenue, Altoona.
Sherwood is an original musical interpretation of the classic Robin Hood legend composed by Tyrone resident, William Allen Jones, who also composed the local holiday hit, A Christmas Caroled.
Sherwood is a tuneful retelling of the timeless story of the outlaw, Robin Hood, and his band of Merry Men who bravely stand against the tyranny of the evil Prince John and his lackeys, Sir Guy and the Sheriff of Nottingham.
Set to a lively, bold musical score, and filled with dancing, adventure, breathtaking sword fights, and romance, Sherwood is sure to thrill audiences of all ages!
Sherwood is directed by Alicia Lombardo and Will Jones and produced by Neil Port and Will Jones. Original choreography is by Alicia Lombardo with musical direction by Terry Turner.
Tickets for Sherwood are $14 for adults, $12 for seniors and $8 for students. Seating is very limited!
